Turn a long practice quiz into the core concepts you need to learn
Have AI group a big practice test into a short list of underlying concepts, then learn each concept instead of memorizing 100+ answers.
What you'll need
- A practice quiz, question bank or mock exam (one your instructor shared or allows)
Step 1: Group the questions by concept
Here is a practice quiz with many questions. Don't answer them.
Group every question by the underlying concept it tests. Give me:
- A list of the core concepts (aim for 20-30)
- For each concept: a one-line plain-English definition and the question numbers that test it
- Sort by how many questions depend on each concept

Step 2: Learn the top concepts first
Start with the concepts that cover the most questions.
Teach me concept #1 in under 150 words with one real-world example. Then give me 2 new questions on it that are NOT from the quiz, one at a time, and wait for my answers.
Step 3: Take the original quiz cold
Once you've worked through the concepts, try the original quiz without help. Use AI only to explain the ones you miss.
Director check
- Do the concept groupings make sense? Spot-check a few. AI sometimes lumps different ideas together.
- Are the definitions consistent with your course? Your instructor's definition wins.
- Can you answer a brand-new question on each concept? That's the real test of learning.
Frequently asked questions
Why not just memorize the practice quiz answers?
Real exams reword questions. If you understand the concept behind a question, you can answer any version of it. Memorized answers fall apart when the wording changes.
Can I upload a PDF practice test?
Most free assistants accept PDFs or screenshots. If yours doesn't, copy and paste the questions in batches.
